Groundskeeper - Retreat Center Campus

Work Summary:

The Groundskeeper will work under the supervision and direction of the LFRC Property Manager to maintain all LFRC in good working order. They will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and landscaping of outdoor areas and facilities.

Job Activities:

1. Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of zero-turn radius mower, weed-eater, backpack blower, hedge-trimmer and edger.
   
2. Responsible for making sure flower beds and shrubs are free of weeds.
   
3. Assisting the Property Manager in working on Campus Infrastructure.
   
4. Ability to paint and perform minor repairs to sheetrock.
   
5. Occasionally clean as needed if/when Janitorial Staff are unable.
   
6. Must be able to safely operate church equipment including Kawasaki Mule, Sky-Jack, etc.
   
7. Assist in set up and tear down for all campus events.
   
8. Perform any duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
   
9. Perform minor plumbing to repair sprinkler systems.
   
10. Assist the Property Manager with minor maintenance tasks as necessary.
    
11. Assist with Athens Campus tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Understand Life Fellowship’s vision, purpose and direction.
• Fulfill the character qualifications as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Demonstrate skill in landscaping and groundskeeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb high ladders safely.
• Able to stand for several hours.

Expectations:

• Worship in one service each weekend
• Serve in one service each weekend
• Daily, growing personal relationship with the Lord
• 30-35 hour workweek
• Pays $11.00 per hour
