JOB SUMMARY:

The Commons Kids Lead

JOB TITLE: 

The Commons Kids Scheduler (Part-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Scheduling all The Commons Kids Sunday services
• Fill holes on a weekly/daily basis as volunteers call off
• Maintaining The Commons Team Workflow
• Maintain the Preferences sheet
• Update Background checks
• Keep Planning Center updated
• Delete non current workers (PCO)
• Schedule for recurring events, Membership and Intro to The Commons
• Schedule workers for Summer Book Study
• Schedule workers for Members Meeting (2x a year)
• Schedule workers for Staff kid days during the week

Most of this work can be done from home or at the church. It is important to have a two hour time block to meet with the TCK team on a weekly basis.  Most likely Wednesday afternoons at the church.

OTHER DUTIES:

All staff members are expected to model flexibility and a willingness to take part in church activities and initiatives that may be outside of their normal day-to-day responsibilities and to model servant leadership in their position at all times.  

SUMMARY:

The Commons Kids Scheduler  is primarily responsible for scheduling and organizing our volunteers within The Commons Kids: Sunday Services, Ministry Programs, and Staff kid days.  

CHARACTER:

The successful candidate will have a healthy, vibrant walk with God, will already be actively involved in the leadership of the church, and will be committed to being in an authentic gospel community.  Their lifestyle will be marked by being a servant leader, generous with their money, time and giftings, joy and love for spending time with the Lord.  A growing desire to shepherd others in their relationship with the Lord and to raise up leaders is necessary.  They will be people of integrity in all areas of life! (this is an example but something like this that’s applicable to the role)

The leadership competencies required: team building, vision-casting and training leaders for ministry; ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment; excellent working knowledge of the Bible; tactical thinker with proven ability to equip leaders and organize functional structures; transformational leader of leaders; effective communicator to adults of all ages; proven effectiveness in a ministry setting; able to connect multi-generationally. (this is an example but something like this that’s applicable to the role)

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE: 

• Currently serving, leading and tithing at your local church
• Experience in a ministry context is helpful, but not required
• Proven past of being strong in the areas of execution and administration
• Experience in google workspace is helpful but not required
• Able to pass a background check
• Having a recruiter type mentality as you help put people in the best positions to serve
• Able to extend grace and maintain a healthy attitude
