Sales Support Engineer (Omani Nationals only)

Johnson Controls' Tyco Fire Protection Products team supports customers with fire detection, fire alarm, and related fire protection solutions. This role combines engineering knowledge with customer-facing sales support to help deliver accurate, standards-based proposals and product guidance in Oman.

We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support Tyco fire products. You will work with customers, distributors, and internal teams to prepare quotations, respond to technical questions, and support the sales process with reliable solutioning.

• →Support customers by identifying their needs and recommending suitable Tyco fire protection solutions.
• →Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and follow-up communication for new and repeat opportunities.
• →Review specifications, project requirements, and product selections to ensure accurate configurations.
• →Provide application support for fire detection products and PAVA system solutions.
• →Work with sales, customer service, product management, and technical services to deliver timely support.
• →Apply solutions in line with BS5839, NFPA, and other relevant international codes and standards.
• →Maintain quotation reporting, customer follow-up, and market feedback on trends and applications.

• Own quotations, technical responses, and follow-ups with accountability and integrity so customers receive clear, dependable support.
• Stay close to the customer need and the application by asking the right questions and reviewing specifications carefully.
• Work as one team across functions to remove obstacles and keep opportunities moving forward.
• Improve every day through candor and problem-solving, learning from each case and strengthening future proposals.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales support, estimation, design, or technical sales of fire detection products or related fire protection solutions, preferably in the GCC market.
• Good working knowledge of fire and voice alarm design and installation standards, including BS5839 and NFPA.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to review technical specifications, prepare quotations, and handle customer queries accurately.

• Experience with Tyco fire products, fire detection systems, or PAVA system solutions.
• Experience working with wholesale distributors or channel partners.
• Exposure to SAP or similar quotation and order-processing systems.
