  • Communicate clearly with our team regarding inspection results and any issues identified on site

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of construction standards and housing inspection practices
  • Familiarity with HUD-OHP inspection standards preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid written reporting and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort using digital reporting tools and photo documentation
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule and meet monthly project deadlines independently

Education and Experience

  • One of the following is required: current ICC certification, a professional engineering (PE) or architectural license, or 2+ years of housing inspection experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, and moving through construction sites and buildings for up to 1.5 hours per inspection

  • Ability to drive to project sites once per month, which may include extended time in a vehicle
  • Periods of working on a computer or mobile device to complete reports

Why Work With Us

  • Flexible, project-based work with a predictable monthly inspection schedule
  • Short time commitment: 1 to 1.5 hours on site plus 30 to 45 minutes of reporting per inspection
  • Competitive pay of $350+ per completed inspection, depending on travel distance
