Library Associate - Southwest Library

• Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
• Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.

The Pima County Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and community-minded person to join us as a Library Associate at Southwest Library.

This position requires the ability to report to, and travel between, assigned library locations during the workday within a reasonable timeframe.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English - reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum one (1) year experience in library (paid or volunteer).
• Minimum one (1) year experience preparing or presenting educational programs or outreach services.
• Minimum two (2) years experience with technology (email, eBooks, Microsoft Office, personal electronic devices such as tablets, cell phones, e-readers, library website, Google forms or docs).
• Experience using a copier and fax machine.
• Experience using a cash register and handling money.
• Experience training other staff or volunteers.

Licenses and Certificates: Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment. Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.

Special Notice Items: Some positions may require bi-lingual abilities, in English and a second language, as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment. The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. Working Conditions: Some positions may be required to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
