The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Aerodynamics Designer to join our Aerodynamics team in Maranello.

Working closely with model makers and aerodynamicists, you’ll support the development of aerodynamic concepts from initial surface definition and scheming through to detailed CAD part design, continuously evolving the performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces. You’ll also contribute to improving design workflows and developing automation tools that help the team work more efficiently.

This is an opportunity to apply your CAD and motorsport experience in a fast-paced Formula 1 environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous development are essential.

What You’ll Do

  • Create CAD surface definitions and develop aerodynamic concept schemes.
  • Produce detailed CAD models and part designs to support aerodynamic development.
  • Work closely with model makers and aerodynamicists to continuously evolve the performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces.
  • Develop workflow automation tools to improve design efficiency and ways of working.
  • Deliver design activities accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure your work meets the required technical, quality and compliance standards.
  • Build positive working relationships across the Aerodynamics team and wider technical departments.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to continuously improve design processes and ways of working.

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • A University Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline is desirable.
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience, including a minimum of 1 year within a professional motorsport environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of racing cars.
  • Professional working experience with 3D CAD, with a strong preference for CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
  • Solid computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
