• Act as a dedicated product legal counsel and trusted legal partner to our product, commercial and compliance stakeholders, providing clear, commercially minded advice on the full product lifecycle, from concept through to launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide end-to-end legal support on the design, structuring, launch and ongoing management of financial products, including stocks, futures, contracts for difference (CFDs), options and tokenised securities.
• Advise on the regulatory treatment of products under MiFID II and related frameworks, including product governance, appropriateness and suitability, client categorisation, best execution and investor protection requirements.
• Support licensing and authorisation workstreams, including the preparation and submission of regulatory applications and responses to regulatory queries.
• Draft, review and negotiate product-related documentation, including terms of business, client agreements, risk disclosures and product terms.
• Assess the legal and regulatory characterisation of new and emerging product types and advise on the associated risks and conditions for launch.
• Partner with product, engineering, commercial and compliance teams to embed legal and regulatory requirements into product design and customer journeys.
• Monitor regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and advise the business on their impact on existing and planned products.

• Legal counsel with relevant post-qualification experience gained in a law firm, in-house, or at a regulator.
• Demonstrable experience advising on MiFID II-regulated products and investment services.
• Practical experience across a range of financial instruments and MiFID-like instruments.
• Strong drafting skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver at pace in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of crypto-asset regulation, including MiCA and related frameworks is considered an advantage.
• Experience advising a regulated firm operating across multiple jurisdictions is considered an advantage.
