Network Engineer III - Voice (R26_0000030930)

Design, implement, and troubleshoot voice (and data) communications systems for all locations. Provide integration and consulting services to all internal departments and systems. Primary focus for this position is enterprise VoIP systems (preferably Cisco) and cloud-based collaboration environments (Microsoft Teams voice, D365 Voice Channel or similar.)

• →Design and implement voice modernization strategy
• →Voice network monitoring & reporting (QoS)
• →Provide 3rd level network support & problem resolution
• →Provide network architecture planning, design and implementation
• →Interact with other corporate teams for enterprise level projects
• →Provide voice communication capacity management
• →Maintain WAN/LAN documentation and business recovery procedures
• →Change management, software updates and configuration management
• →Evaluate & recommend networking hardware and software – data center and branch
• →Operate and maintain the network management platforms
• →Professionally interact with NOC, Operations, vendors and support teams to maintain stable network environment
• →Security conscious network design

• High school diploma or equivalent required – college degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining critical environments
• 5 – 7 years networking experience similar to:
  • Wide and local area networking technologies, protocols, and related hardware (Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Enterprise voice systems: Cisco CUCM, UCCX, Teams voice, D365 voice, cloud-based collaboration systems
  • SD-WAN/VPN/Basic Firewall (Prefer Fortinet)
  • Data Center, Cloud, Branch and Internet connectivity – basic routing and switching familiarity
  • Heavy focus on VoIP systems and migration to cloud based collaboration
• Extensive experience with QoS, packet analysis, and large-scale hybrid voice deployments.
• Enterprise network management tools (PRTG, NetFlow, etc.)
• Experience with network disaster recovery implementations
• Strong written & verbal communications skills
• Top-level performer with desire to be part of a high-functioning Engineering team
• Minimal travel
• Prefer daily on-site at Irondale, AL datacenter but will entertain remote for superior candidate
