Infrastructure Engineer

•    Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and networking issues, working closely with our Service Desk to resolve incidents and problems
•    Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve issues across server, network, cloud and security technologies
•    Support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure services across our offices, depots and logistics sites
•    Configure, administer and support server, virtualisation and networking environments, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and available
•    Work with third-party suppliers and technology partners to support service delivery and infrastructure improvements
•    Contribute to infrastructure projects, helping to implement new technologies and enhance existing services
•    Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including backup management, testing and recovery processes
•    Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required, including responding to critical incidents

•    Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments across networking, server, cloud and end-user technologies
•    A solid understanding of networking principles and infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
•    Experience working with virtualised environments and core Microsoft technologies
•    An appreciation of cybersecurity best practices and experience supporting secure, resilient technology services
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to investigating and resolving issues
•    The ability to communicate technical information clearly and build effective working relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues
•    A flexible approach, with the ability to participate in an on-call support rota
•    A full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel occasionally to sites across the UK and attend our Scunthorpe office when required to support major incidents
