Septic Pump Truck Driver

We are a local plumbing company seeking a reliable and experienced Septic Pump Truck Driver to join our team. As a Septic Pump Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' septic systems by safely and efficiently pumping out the waste from their tanks.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a septic pump truck, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
• Safely maneuver the truck in various conditions, including residential and commercial properties, tight spaces, and uneven terrain
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and concerns, and provide exceptional customer service
• Use hand and power tools to access and inspect septic tanks, locate openings, and ensure proper function
• Inspect and maintain the truck and all equipment, reporting any issues to management
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks and service tickets, accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Participate in training and development programs, as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in driving a septic pump truck or similar vehicle (preferred but not required)
• Excellent driving record and safety record
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
