We are a safety-focused, industrial manufacturing facility looking to expand our team of dedicated, goal-driven individuals.
The Materials Engineer is responsible for supporting the quality, performance, and consistency of aluminum products in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on alloy evaluation, process support, and troubleshooting across, rolling, packing, and finishing operations. The Metallurgist works closely with production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards while driving continuous improvement.

~1 min read- →Analyze aluminum alloys to evaluate properties, performance, and suitability for application
- →Support, rolling, packing and finishing processes to improve quality and efficiency
- →Investigate material defects, failures, and non-conformities; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- →Work with production teams to resolve day-to-day metallurgical and process-related issues
- →Assist in developing and maintaining process controls to ensure consistent product quality
- →Perform and interpret materials testing (mechanical, chemical)
- →Maintain records of testing results, process data, and analysis
- →Support quality initiatives, including scrap reduction and process improvement efforts
- →Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable industry standards
- →Assist with internal audits and quality system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001)
- →Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to internal teams
- →Creating Oven Cycles
Requirements
~1 min read- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in a noisy, industrial environment with exposure to heat and moving machinery.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hand tools or test equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (aluminum or metals processing a plus)
- Extensive knowledge of aluminum alloys, annealing and metallurgical principles
- Familiarity with material testing methods and lab equipment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with casting, rolling, or metal finishing processes
- Exposure to statistical analysis tools
- Knowledge of Aluminum Association standards, alloys, and tempers
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methods
- Full-time position with possible on-call availability for emergencies.
- Rotating shifts may be required, including weekends and holidays
