This is a high-impact leadership role where you will influence supplier performance, manufacturing strategy, and the integration of advanced processes across a global network.
We are seeking a forward-thinking engineering leader with experience in plastic and metal component manufacturing (injection moulding, machining, laser processing), motivated to drive performance and elevate operational standards.
As Engineering Manager, you will:
Lead engineering strategy and execution across site operations and supplier network
Drive performance improvements in quality, efficiency, and reliability
Leverage a strong, technically capable supplier base
Build credibility through delivery, collaboration, and technical leadership

Provide strong engineering leadership to support daily manufacturing operations
Output and efficiency
Product quality
Equipment and process reliability
Identify gaps and implement sustainable improvements
Act as a visible, hands-on leader
Lead engineering engagement with new and existing suppliers
Partner with suppliers across:
Injection moulding
Precision machining
Laser processing and advanced fabrication
Improve process capability, quality, and delivery performance
Support supplier selection, qualification, and development
Provide engineering support to ensure efficient and compliant production processes
Monitor performance of equipment, machines, and tools
Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to:
Non-conforming products
Low yields
Process variability
Lead continuous improvement activities with a focus on practical execution
Partner with R&D to industrialise new products
Lead process development, validation, and implementation
Ensure processes are robust, repeatable, and scalable
Lead, develop, and support a cross-functional engineering and technical team
Build capability through:
Coaching and mentoring
Structured training and development
Performance management and feedback
Foster collaboration, accountability, and engagement
FT Proposal: Governance & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g. FDA, ISO)
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Support cost awareness and resource planning
NFQ Level 7 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline)
Strong understanding of:
Plastic processing (injection moulding)
Metal component manufacturing (machining, fabrication, laser processing)
Experience in process optimisation, validation, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments
A proactive, self-starting leader who brings energy and direction
Comfortable working in an environment that requires change, focus, and improvement
Strong ability to influence and engage teams at all levels
