Job Summary
To lead the Bank’s fraud management, forensic investigations and physical security strategy implementation and embed applicable Group Fraud Risk, Forensics and Physical Security frameworks, policies, standards and procedures. The role is mandated to oversee investigations, security incident and loss reporting standards; strengthen fraud and physical security capability; and proactively lead fraud incident and loss reduction, security risk mitigation, awareness, training and prevention initiatives across the Bank.To be the country-level owner and senior advisory lead for Fraud risk, forensic investigations and physical security risk, including protection of people, premises, critical sites, cash, moveable assets, records and security infrastructure.
Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team delivering fraud risk, forensic investigation and physical security outcomes.
Build specialist and leadership capability through targeted development, coaching, knowledge sharing and succession planning.
Provide technical direction on fraud typologies, forensic methods, physical security threats, control design and risk appetite.
Build enterprise-wide capability to manage significant, sensitive or complex fraud, theft, corruption and misconduct investigations.
Convert approved fraud, forensic and physical security strategy into clear operating plans, priorities, budgets and performance measures.
Use case volumes, loss trends, incident patterns and investigation outcomes to strengthen prioritization, methodology and risk-based decision-making.
Ensure delivery against agreed standards, timelines, policies and Group frameworks through disciplined oversight and corrective action tracking.
Support legal, regulatory, industry and internal obligations relating to fraud, misconduct, law enforcement, physical security and control attestations.
Present concise updates to management, risk, audit, security and governance forums on trends, investigations, incidents, projects and key risk themes.
Align business stakeholders on the department’s mandate, accountability boundaries and shared ownership of fraud, investigation and security risk.
Maintain trusted relationships with internal partners, Group functions, law enforcement, regulators, industry bodies and service providers to support intelligence-led response.
Oversee vendor and operational stakeholder performance through structured engagement, issue resolution, service reviews and action tracking.
Strengthen fraud risk, forensic investigation and physical security controls across branches, cash centres, corporate offices, ATMs and high-risk operations.
Drive implementation of systems, procedures and controls that prevent, detect and minimise fraud, misconduct, security breaches and operational vulnerabilities.
Provide subject matter expertise for projects, product approvals, process changes, premises design, CCTV, access control, cash handling and asset protection.
Embed continuous improvement in investigation quality, fraud prevention, physical security governance and incident response.
Set, maintain and monitor investigative, fraud risk and physical security standards, policies and procedures across the Bank.
Provide oversight and technical guidance on sensitive or high-risk cases to ensure timely escalation, quality outcomes and defensible decisions.
Monitor fraud losses, attempted fraud, forensic outcomes, physical security incidents, branch exceptions and key risk indicators against approved thresholds.
Establish robust case governance for material fraud losses, including stakeholder coordination, escalation, recovery oversight and timely decisions.
Ensure incidents and control failures are investigated, escalated, remediated and tracked to closure, with lessons embedded to prevent recurrence.
Lead recovery initiatives for fraud losses, insurance claims, evidence preservation and security-related recoveries.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Social Science or any other related field.
