Together, we leverage our expertise in power grid expansion to drive and successfully deliver energy transition infrastructure projects in collaboration with our clients. The focus of this role is on new construction and refurbishment projects of substations within transmission and distribution networks. Take on challenging grid expansion projects with us and actively contribute to ensuring the technical, schedule, and quality-driven success of the energy transition.
As a Substation Project Engineer, you will take on a variety of responsibilities within national energy infrastructure projects and support our clients as a Project Coordinator or Owner’s Representative within complex project organizations. You will accompany substation projects throughout multiple project phases – from planning through execution – and actively contribute to the further development of our area of expertise.
You will take overall responsibility for coordinating new construction and refurbishment projects in substations and act as the central interface between engineering, planning, and implementation. You will coordinate internal technical disciplines as well as external partners and ensure smooth project execution throughout all project phases.
You ensure efficient collaboration between all project disciplines and maintain oversight of technical requirements, changes, and dependencies at all times. At the same time, you support the project owner with quality assurance, structure project documentation, and accompany the technical handover process.
You contribute your ideas to the further development of our processes and digital tools and actively drive the standardization and efficiency improvement of substation projects. You will support the implementation of modern IT platforms for planning, managing, and documenting complex infrastructure projects.
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
- Interest in or initial experience with substations, power grid expansion, or industrial plant engineering
- Ideally, knowledge of technical standards, as well as project and engineering planning processes
- A structured, analytical working style and strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as required by projects and work flexibly across different project environments
- Fluent German and good English language skills
