The Government Digital Products (GDP) Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. Our team aims to design and develop software applications that help government agencies to better serve the needs of the people of Singapore.

• Information Services Program (ISP) & Engagement & Case Management Program (ECMP) are platform program teams that build core government digital products that power all government agencies for their essential digital services.
• We are looking for engineers who care about automation and quality, and who enjoy helping other teams deliver software end-to-end. You'll build the platform and tooling that product teams rely on to ship. This role is a great fit for a software engineer with some cloud experience who wants to grow into platform and DevOps work.
• Help Build and Grow the Platform

• Design and build systems with security, reliability, and scalability in mind.
• Help design and build shared platform capabilities — templates, paved paths, and reusable modules that make onboarding new products fast and safe.
• Help existing products migrate onto the platform as it matures.
• Work with tech leads and fellow engineers to break down problems and find pragmatic solutions.
• Automate with Code
• Write infrastructure, pipelines, and monitoring as code — version-controlled, peer-reviewed, and reusable.
• Lean on automation to reduce manual, repetitive work.
• Support Delivery and Operations
• Help teams ship smoothly through CI/CD and good deployment practices.
• Provision and manage multiple environments, enabling efficient and repeatable application deployments.
• Support the team's day-to-day operations — monitoring, alerting, and incident management
• Automate routine operations such as backup, recovery, and patching.
• As the platform grows, help shape good reliability practices — observability, sensible alerting, and service-level goals.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Comfortable writing code, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and other "as code" work — pipelines, configuration, and monitoring — rather than application features.
• An application development background is a plus, but not required. We care most that you can codify infrastructure and operations.
• Familiarity with Agile practices (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming).
• Able to write Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), and comfortable expressing pipelines, configuration, and monitoring as code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control with Git.
• Basic understanding of cloud services.
• Grasp of common cloud infrastructure architecture and network traffic flow concepts.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking security.
• A scripting or programming language (e.g. Go, Python, or Bash) to support automation.
• Exposure to responsible use of AI-assisted development tooling.

• Automation-first — if it's done twice, it's worth scripting.

• Collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.

• Curious, self-driven, and keen to keep learning.
