Responsibilities
~4 min readThe People and Business Operations Specialist will report directly to the President and serve as a versatile, professional resource supporting the day-to-day needs of the KJUS organization across people coordination, business administration, and operations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and eager to develop broad business acumen. They will take ownership of responsibilities, manage competing priorities effectively, and bring a high level of professionalism and attention-to-detail to their work.
This role serves as an important resource to the President, helping ensure people processes, office operations, and organizational priorities are coordinated efficiently and effectively. The position will work closely with KJUS leadership and connect with Acushnet (our parent company) resources as needed while developing a broad understanding of how a growing global business operates.
Key Responsibilities:
People Operations
- →Serve as the first point of contact for routine associate questions and connect associates with the appropriate Acushnet HR resource when specialized guidance is required.
- →Coordinate the associate experience from offer acceptance through the first day of employment, including on-boarding, orientation, training coordination and required documentation.
- →Coordinate off-boarding activities, including collection of company property, completion of required processes, and exit interviews.
- →Maintain accurate and confidential associate records and HR documentation in accordance with KJUS and Acushnet processes.
- →Coordinate performance review processes and follow up with managers to ensure required activities are completed on time.
- →Across all HR responsibilities, utilize the support of Acushnet’s resources where appropriate to ensure questions and requests are followed through.
- →Lead the planning and coordination of KJUS team building events, associate recognition programs and other engagement, culture and morale initiatives in partnership with President and KJUS Leadership.
- →Collaborate with the President to maintain a strong KJUS culture with policies and procedures that align with the company needs.
- →Coordinate KJUS recruiting efforts for select positions, including creating and updating job descriptions, screening resumes and candidates, conducting initial screening interviews, coordinating interviews with managers, supporting with job postings and ensuring a smooth process through the candidate’s first day.
- →Support efficiency of background screening and employee referral processes with Acushnet.
- →Maintain appropriate information in Workday, excluding confidential compensation information as directed.
- →Help associates navigate available resources including Workday, HR resources, benefits resources and other Acushnet support channels.
Leadership & Special Projects
- →Provide administrative and project support to the KJUS President and Leadership Team.
- →Support in helping to create and edit files, reports and presentations in Excel, Power Point for Leadership.
- →Support and take ownership of cross-functional projects and special initiatives that advance the broader priorities of the KJUS organization, as assigned by KJUS leadership.
- →Provide trusted day-to-day administrative and operational support to the President and Leadership, including coordinating schedules, meetings, expenses, travel, and contacts.
- →Coordinate logistics for key company events and activities (for example semiannual sample sales, Summer and Winter Sales Meetings, PGA Show planning, seasonal retail store transitions).
- →Identify opportunities to improve processes, organization and efficiency across people and business operations.
Business & Office Operations
- →Help ensure the Boulder office environment is organized, welcoming and operating effectively.
- →Support Leadership to ensure a productive office environment and day-to-day operations for the Boulder headquarters and Customization Center.
- →Coordinate office needs, vendors, supplies, equipment and general administrative requirements.
- →Manage lease and contract administration, including tracking key dates, renewals, expirations and required follow up.
- →Coordinate internal meetings, visitors, events and company activities.
- →Serve as the primary point of contact with landlords and building management, communicating relevant property updates to associates and office staff.
- →Assist with product inventory check-in and organization, including steaming, and helping prepare seasonal showroom collection samples
What You Bring
- →1 to 3 years of experience in a professional office environment, preferably with some exposure to HR or people processes.
- →Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an approachable, service-oriented personality.
- →Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- →Strong follow through and a willingness to take ownership and ensure tasks do not get stuck between teams.
- →The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with associates, leadership and Acushnet partners.
- →A high degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- →A willingness to learn the business and develop strong business instincts.
- →Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn business systems, including Workday.
- →A positive, solutions-oriented approach and a genuine desire to be a resource to others.
- →A passion for sports, with an interest in golf and/or skiing preferred.
