JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Rogers, AR Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Jul 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 5 days per week Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: 1:8 Call Response Time: 30 min Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 12 Case Mix: Gastroenterology, High risk outpatient screening colonoscopies, Inpatient addons FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: Epic Support Staff: APPs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser)) ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small Bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible) Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp) Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: AR Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Perform ERCP Experience: Must be able to perform ERCP; Case logs for the past 24 months required for submission Duties & Responsibilities Provide 5 days per week of outpatient clinic and procedures. Perform 4 high risk outpatient screening colonoscopies per day. Manage inpatient add-on cases as required. Provide coverage for 1 week at a time, 1-2 weeks per month. Maintain clinical documentation and provide case logs for the past 24 months.
