If you are a hands-on facilities professional who enjoys solving problems, maintaining safe and functional spaces, and keeping building systems operating efficiently, this opportunity allows you to make a direct impact on the workplace environment. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, repair, and support the safe and efficient operation of building facilities, equipment, and systems. 
This role is primarily hands-on and requires the ability to work across a variety of facility spaces (offices, mechanical rooms, utility areas, warehouses, exterior grounds, and other building areas. requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in confined or elevated spaces). You must be able to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing approximately fifty pounds, work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions. 
 

Responsibilities

  • →Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and general facility systems.
  • →Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency service calls, troubleshoot facility issues, and identify potential problems and safety hazards through regular inspections.
  • →Complete work orders accurately and document repairs, inspections, materials, and labor using applicable maintenance systems.
  • →Perform general building repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, doors and hardware, lighting, switches, outlets, fixtures, and plumbing components, as qualified.
  • →Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment safely while keeping mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
  • →Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers when specialized repairs are required and support facility inspections, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety programs.
  • →Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies while supporting compliance with applicable building, environmental, health, and safety requirements.

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs safely and effectively, using common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read basic technical manuals, equipment documentation, and facility plans.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use work-order or maintenance management systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with facilities staff and contractors.

The hourly wage for this position is $29.93 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
