Your Role with Us

As a Senior Compliance Management Specialist, you will play a key role in helping AIA New Zealand maintain a strong and trusted compliance framework that supports our commitment to customers, partners, and communities. Working within the Risk & Compliance team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to provide expert guidance, strengthen risk awareness, and embed best practice compliance standards. This is an opportunity to influence meaningful outcomes, support regulatory readiness, and help shape a culture where ethical behaviour, transparency, and continuous improvement are part of everyday decision making.

  • Lead compliance assurance activities that identify risks, strengthen controls, and support consistent adherence to regulatory and internal standards
  • Drive the adoption of compliance policies, standards, and frameworks that enable effective risk management across the organisation
  • Deliver engaging training and awareness initiatives that build compliance capability and foster a culture of accountability and speaking up
  • Interpret evolving regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance that supports informed business decisions
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, providing expert advice that enables compliant and customer-focused outcomes
  • Investigate and manage compliance incidents, ensuring timely escalation, meaningful insights, and ongoing process improvements

  • You have experience in compliance risk management, audit, quality assurance, or a related risk discipline, ideally within financial or insurance services
  • You bring strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and turn them into practical actions
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills, enabling you to build credibility and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • You bring a collaborative approach and enjoy partnering across teams to achieve shared compliance and risk objectives
  • You have strong organisation and prioritisation skills, delivering high-quality outcomes while managing competing deadlines
  • It is great if you hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant business discipline and have experience supporting compliance change initiatives or regulatory projects

At AIA, your experience matters, and so does your impact. In return for your expertise, we offer a career where you can apply your skills to meaningful work that improves lives across Asia-Pacific. You’ll enjoy flexible ways of working, competitive rewards, and access to continuous learning programs designed to keep you ahead in a rapidly changing world. Our collaborative culture values your ideas and empowers you to innovate, solve complex challenges, and contribute to our ambition of helping a billion people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives by 2030.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to who we are and how we work. We value people from all walks of life and welcome candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, including those with disabilities, additional mental health needs, chronic health conditions, or who are neurodiverse.
