Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop single line and three line diagrams for new and existing systems
- →Design and lay out electrical panels
- →Perform electrical load calculations and size electrical equipment, and write equipment specifications
- →Perform cable sizing, routing design, and calculations, and write cable specifications
- →Design grounding systems
- →Design safety systems, including emergency stop (E-STOP) circuits
- →Generate bills of materials to support procurement and fabrication
- →Partner closely with mechanical, process, and controls engineers to integrate electrical design across the full system
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10 years of experience in electrical design and panel layout for machine building applications (OEMs)
- Hands-on experience designing safety systems, including E-STOP circuits
- Solid understanding of control and instrumentation engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent electrical design software
- Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment where priorities shift and you own the outcome
- Strong commitment to personal and process safety
- Ability to work onsite in New Britain, PA at least three days per week
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Chemical industry and/or hazardous environment experience
- Understanding of state and federal code selection and regulations
- Plant troubleshooting or maintenance experience
