EHS Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the safety coordinator ensure to respect all laws and regulations and to be in compliance with Albany International Safety Expectations. He also assist the Plant Manager in Safety Management and participate and manage all health, environmental and safety program.

·   Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.

·   Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.

·   Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned.

·   Report all safety hazards observed.  If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.

·         Ensure compliance with Laws and Regulations regarding Occupational Health and Safety, as well as compliance with AI expectations

·         Participate in the development of the annual strategic plan in Health and Safety

·          Assist and support the Plant Manager in Safety Management

·         Develop, evaluate and coordinate all health and safety programs

·         Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

·         Coordinate and facilitate Health and Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team and First Aid Team

·         Conduct SIF safety audit and general safety audit

·         Conduct required safety training and safety orientation of new employees and others safety training

·         Train and audit subcontractor regarding Albany Safety expectations

·         Identify training needs in health and safety

·         Analyze safety indicators and make recommendations to reduce the risk of accidents

·         Act as an agent of change in cultural change to become a world-class organization in security

·         Foster a culture in which Safety is a value that is never compromised and in which employees are involved and engaged
