Albany Trucking is hiring CDL-A truck drivers for regional operations offering dependable freight opportunities, weekly home time, and equipment suited for time on the road.

Home Time

Home time is weekly, allowing drivers to return home regularly between trips. The primary running area covers the Midwest and east of I-35, with occasional freight extending outside those lanes as needed.

Drivers haul no-touch freight, reducing the need for physical freight handling during pickups and deliveries. Familiar lanes and regular freight activity help keep trips moving throughout the week.

Pay is $1,475 to $1,675 per week. Dispatch communication helps drivers stay informed about their assigned loads, delivery schedules, and upcoming routes.

Equipment

Drivers primarily operate 2021–2024 Peterbilt 579 Ultralofts with equipment features suited for regional and longer-distance routes.

• APUs, refrigerators, and power inverters

• Governed at 70 MPH

• Outward-facing cameras only

These trucks provide practical amenities for drivers spending several days on the road before returning home for their weekly break.

Driver Orientation

• Three-day orientation with classes starting Monday or Wednesday

• Transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals provided

• $375 in orientation pay before truck and first-load assignment

Drivers receive an introduction to dispatch procedures, company expectations, and daily operations during orientation before starting their assigned routes.
