πŸš€ We’re Hiring: Hyper-V Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Hyper-V Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team and play a key role in a major VMware-to-Microsoft Hyper-V migration project across multiple data centers in the US and Canada.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building infrastructure, solving complex problems, and working with enterprise virtualization technologies. The project is expected to run through July 2027.

Responsibilities

  • β†’Build and manage Microsoft Hyper-V hosts and Failover Clusters
  • β†’Work with Windows Server, CSV, Live Migration, iSCSI and Fibre Channel SANs
  • β†’Deploy and manage virtualization infrastructure using SCVMM and Active Directory
  • β†’Plan and execute VMware vSphere/ESXi β†’ Hyper-V migrations using Veeam
  • β†’Tune migrated workloads across CPU, memory, power settings, and security configurations
  • β†’Collaborate with Networking and Security teams on VLAN segmentation, virtual switches, virtual firewalls, and DR
  • β†’Troubleshoot complex environments, including legacy operating systems and SAP HANA
  • β†’Automate repeatable tasks with PowerShell
  • β†’Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate solutions effectively to customers
  • 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server and virtualization experience
  • Strong production experience with Hyper-V clusters
  • Real-world experience migrating workloads from VMware vSphere/ESXi to Hyper-V
  • Working knowledge of SCVMM, Failover Clustering, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy
  • Strong understanding of FC/iSCSI SAN, VLANs, virtual switches, and NIC teaming
  • Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, generalist mindset
  • Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft AZ-800 / AZ-801 certifications
  • Veeam VMCE certification
  • Azure or AWS experience, particularly cloud-based disaster recovery
  • MSP or multi-tenant hosting experience
  • Experience with FortiGate, Dell iDRAC, or Live Optics
