At Alpha FMC, you will be pivotal in leading engagements to identify and implement solutions for a range of issues facing asset and wealth managers. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique business and technology challenges. We recognize that strong consultants come from diverse career paths. If you have a foundation in financial services or consulting and are excited about learning, you'll thrive here.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing project execution and a team of consultants ensuring the successful delivery of client engagements, including planning the day-to-day work of the team, facilitating client interviews and workshops, structuring client deliverables, and ensuring Alpha's standards for quality are met
  • Leading or co-managing end-to-end front-/middle-/back-office implementation engagements, including current-state assessment, requirements gathering, workflow design, configuration and integration oversight, test planning and execution, and training and procedure documentation
  • Owning or contributing to project governance, including regular status meetings, task and budget tracking, proactive communication with clients and the Alpha delivery team, and handover of business and technical workflows to client teams upon engagement completion
  • Creating a culture of continuous learning for Alpha team members, and actively mentoring to develop their skillset as they progress in their careers
  • Supporting Alpha FMC's business development by driving the creation of client proposals, authoring thought leadership, and maintaining strong relationships with past and prospective clients

  • Maintaining a broad understanding of the challenges facing the Asset and Wealth Management industry and demonstrating subject matter expertise in at least one area in demand by clients
  • 5+ years of consulting and/or industry experience within Asset and Wealth Management, gained through a leading consulting firm or a transformation, project management, or operational role at an Asset Owner, Asset Manager, Wealth Manager, or investment technology provider.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to enterprise investment platform implementations, with working knowledge of the implementation lifecycle including requirements gathering, business process design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Meaningful hands-on experience with at least one major investment management platform, with a strong preference for SimCorp One/Dimension; working familiarity with other leading platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River IMS, Bloomberg AIM, or FactSet is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of front office and middle office workflows, with the ability to support clients across components of the investment lifecycle including portfolio management, trading, compliance, investment operations, performance, or reporting.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and asset classes — including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Alternatives — with the ability to translate investment and business needs into operating and technology design requirements.
  • Experience contributing to business and technology transformation initiatives, including supporting workstream execution, coordinating with implementation partners, and helping manage delivery against project plans.
  • Solid program and project management capabilities, including experience with agile methodologies, supporting governance processes, tracking RAID items, contributing to status reporting, and helping manage dependencies and timelines.
  • Exposure to organizational change management, including supporting stakeholder communications, training coordination, and business readiness activities.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, including business analysts and associate consultants, with empathy and collaboration.
  • Working understanding of investment operating models and data, with exposure to areas such as Investment Book of Record (IBOR), Accounting Book of Record (ABOR), security master, reference data, risk analytics, or reconciliation.
