Company Introduction:

 Gazelle Wind Power is an innovative offshore engineering company developing next-generation floating wind platforms designed to accelerate the global energy transition.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, analysing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components within Gazelle’s platforms. This includes developing CAD models, conducting structural and thermal analyses, and overseeing fabrication and installation. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Around 5 years of experience in mechanical design or analysis within the renewable energy sector (offshore wind preferred).

  • Experience in complex marine engineering projects and fabrication/construction yards is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in CAD systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) and MS Office.

  • Familiarity with Python and MATLAB.

  • Good understanding of FOW codes and standards.

  • Knowledge of advanced materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

  • Multidisciplinary mindset with good materials and CAD knowledge.

  • Innovative, proactive, and collaborative.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English and Portuguese.

  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stress and fatigue analysis to ensure structural integrity.

  • Evaluate materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Support fabrication and manufacturing, ensuring design feasibility and quality.

  • Review and manage engineering deliverables.

  • Perform testing, simulation, and performance evaluations.

  • Prepare documentation for DNV approval and project submission.

  • Maintain compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Start date: As soon as possible.
