The Compensation Analyst is responsible for coordinating and administering compensation-related requests and governance processes across the organization's Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This role serves as a key partner to HR Business Partners, Operations leadership, Directors of Operations, Center Administrators, and Payroll to ensure compensation actions are reviewed, approved, documented, and processed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities

- →Partner with HR Business Partners, Directors of Operations, Operations leaders, Center Administrators, and Payroll to facilitate compensation-related transactions.
- →Review requests for completeness, accuracy, policy alignment, and required approvals.
- →Coordinate Compensation Governance Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, preparation and distribution of meeting materials, documentation of decisions, and follow-up on action items. Serve as the primary coordinator for the governance process, ensuring meetings are well-organized, stakeholders are prepared, and committee operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- →Track and monitor governance workflow timelines, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding items.
- →Maintain documentation and records related to compensation approvals, market adjustments, incentives, promotions, and other compensation actions.
- →Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding compensation processes, policies, and governance requirements.
- →Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiencies within compensation programs.
- →Prepare reports, metrics, and status updates for leadership as needed.

- Strong project management and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience partnering and building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, Operations, and Payroll teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate meetings, develop agendas, prepare materials, document outcomes, and track action items.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar workflow/project management tools preferred.
- Experience supporting governance, approval, compliance, or workflow management processes preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and stakeholder support.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Compensation, Human Resources, Payroll, Operations, Project Coordination, or a related function.
AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
