Founding Frontend Developer

TripSuite is an early-stage, venture-backed startup revolutionizing travel agency software. We believe our world is better when people are exposed to new ideas and cultures through travel. By supporting travel entrepreneurs and the customers they serve, TripSuite enables more people to travel better. Our first product makes it easier for travel professionals to get paid.

As the founding frontend developer, you’ll be responsible for building a new application and owning frontend development. This is your chance to build something from the ground up that’s pivotal to the future of our company. We’re an early-stage startup, so we’re looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will report directly to the CTO.

• Design the frontend architecture of a high-performance, secure, and user-focused web application
• Create and maintain the application's build system
• Ensure that the application is responsive and accessible
• Work closely with our CEO, CTO, and other engineers to build features and improvements
• Understand our clients’ journey and build software that enables best-in-class experiences
• Build an innovative product to revolutionize the travel industry

• Extensive experience with React, Next.js, Typescript
• Experience architecting medium-sized public-facing web apps, where performance and reliability are critical
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and testing (including the ability to write unit tests)
• Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• At least 2 years of experience in technical leadership on similar projects
• At least 4 years of experience in web development
