Senior Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer at AppTestify, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks using Selenium with both Java and Python. You will work closely with the development and quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your role will involve creating and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and continuously improving our automation testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and software functionality.
2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks using Selenium with Java and Python.
3. Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results, identifying and documenting defects.
4. Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
5. Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and test coverage of new features and enhancements.
6. Participate in regression testing, performance testing, and load testing activities.
7. Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and practices.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in test automation using Selenium with Java and Python.
• Strong programming skills in both Java and Python.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, PyTest).
• Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks Selenium, TestNG, PyTest
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Good to have -Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
