Use IBM Maximo to review work orders, asset information, work history, and maintenance records. Maintain accurate records of inspections, equipment condition, labor and material needs, and follow-up actions.   What we’re looking for Substantial hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, building systems, industrial systems, or facility maintenance. Working familiarity with IBM Maximo or a similar computerized maintenance management system. Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, specifications, and maintenance records. Experience diagnosing equipment problems and estimating the labor, materials, and equipment needed to address them. Ability to clearly explain technical findings and cost or labor recommendations to project managers and maintenance teams. Comfort working directly with technicians, project staff, vendors, and contractors. Strong attention to safety, work quality, and follow-through. Ability to work on-site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.   Education and experience Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates may qualify through a combination of technical training, trade education, military experience, and directly relevant work experience.    Preferred: Experience supporting complex facilities, laboratories, test facilities, industrial equipment, or government sites.   Role boundary This position provides technical assessment, labor and cost input, and project support. It does not serve as the engineering design authority. Engineering calculations, final design decisions, and work requiring a licensed professional engineer must be performed or approved by appropriately qualified engineering personnel.
