AtmosZero is building the next generation of industrial steam infrastructure. Our flagship product, Boiler 2.0, is a modular industrial steam heat pump designed to help manufacturers reduce operational risk, improve flexibility, and modernize steam generation over time. Rather than forcing facilities to choose between reliability and sustainability, AtmosZero enables a practical path toward future-ready steam systems that integrate with existing operations and scale with customer needs.

Why this role exists
AtmosZero is scaling Boiler 2.0, a modular heat-pump boiler designed to decarbonize industrial steam. Reaching production cost targets requires coordinated progress across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, suppliers, and external consultants. We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to establish the integrated operating rhythm for cost down, keep parallel workstreams aligned, and connect technical progress to the financial model and fundraising narratives.
What you will do
- Build and maintain the integrated cost-down roadmap, including workstreams, owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, and decision points.
- Run recurring cost-down reviews; assign and track actions; escalate missed milestones, unresolved decisions, and cross-functional blockers.
- Maintain the Cost Down Tracker and supporting decision history from initial concept through validation and implementation.
- Connect technical plans to the current BOM, component-level cost data, should-cost inputs, supplier activities, expected savings, and implementation timing.
- Serve as the bridge between Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance, translating technical work into clear inputs for financial modeling and leadership decisions.
- Support cost-down documentation and fundraising narratives by maintaining credible, traceable evidence behind cost targets and implementation plans.
- Coordinate external consultants and suppliers, including scopes, deliverables, technical inputs, review cadence, and action closure.
- Help prepare qualified technical packages and cost information that support competitive sourcing and supply-chain improvement.
- Create concise dashboards and executive updates showing progress, risks, decisions needed, and changes to projected cost and timing.
What success looks like
- Cost-down work is managed through one current, trusted plan with clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, and decision history.
- Technical, supply-chain, and financial assumptions remain aligned as initiatives move from concept through validation and implementation.
- Leadership can quickly understand progress toward cost targets, the evidence behind projected savings, and the decisions or investments required next.
What we need from you
- Experience managing complex technical programs involving multiple functions, parallel workstreams, external partners, and incomplete information.
- Ability to understand engineering concepts well enough to organize, document, question, and communicate technical work accurately.
- Experience reviewing BOMs, component-level cost data, schedules, budgets, risks, and program dependencies.
- Strong program-management habits, including action tracking, meeting leadership, decision documentation, escalation, and executive reporting.
- Ability to translate between technical teams and finance without oversimplifying the engineering or losing the financial implications.
- Clear written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and comfort driving execution without direct authority.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced hardware startup where priorities and technical paths evolve as new evidence emerges.
What would help
- Engineering, technical, or operations background in industrial equipment, energy systems, manufacturing, or another hardware-intensive environment.
- Supply-chain, strategic sourcing, supplier-development, should-cost, or value-engineering experience.
- Experience with product cost reduction, design-to-cost, VA/VE, new-product introduction, or manufacturing scale-up.
- Experience coordinating engineering consultants and suppliers and integrating their outputs into a governed product-development plan.
- Experience supporting financial models, fundraising diligence, board materials, or investor narratives for a hardware or climate-technology company.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, business, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
