Responsibilities

You know, the roar of heavy equipment and the hum of a well-tuned engine – that’s just part of the vibe at the City of Aurora’s Public Works Department. We’re looking for someone to join us as a Streets Operations Specialist. 👷🏼‍♂️🛻

Now, this isn’t your typical desk job. It’s all about being out there, hands-on. We run all kinds of machines – road graders, front-end loaders, paving machines, even snow blowers. Our main goal? Keeping the roads in shape. We do big asphalt patches and road grading so they stay in good condition. And when winter hits? We’re all about snow and ice control. ❄️⛄

We also make sure our machines are running smoothly. A little maintenance goes a long way, right? A well-taken-care-of machine makes for a solid crew.

We’re a team that gets things done 💪🏼. There are chances to move up too. You could step into a supervisory role or help train new people on how we keep the streets running right. The work we do really matters. Plus, there’s a great sense of camaraderie among us. We like to keep it positive and have a laugh, especially when the work gets tough.

So if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in the city, join the best team in Aurora!
