Join a security-focused team within a regulated financial services technology environment, supporting enterprise programs that protect sensitive data and strengthen insider risk governance. This team partners closely with cybersecurity, audit, risk, privacy, legal, data governance, and technology stakeholders to ensure security controls, policies, and reporting practices are aligned with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk priorities.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Jersey City, NJ, supporting a high-impact insider risk and data security governance program. The role offers exposure to enterprise-level cybersecurity governance, audit readiness, risk alignment, and executive-facing reporting in a highly regulated environment.
- Support the development, maintenance, and execution of insider risk governance policies, standards, and control frameworks.
- Help ensure data security practices align with governance expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal risk management standards.
- Partner with cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, legal, risk, audit, and technology teams to embed data protection controls into enterprise processes.
- Assist with audit, regulatory, and internal assurance activities tied to insider risk and data security governance.
- Define governance requirements for internal systems and third-party relationships that interact with insider risk data.
- Translate complex data security requirements into clear guidance, documentation, reporting, and executive-ready materials.
- 10+ years of relevant experience supporting cybersecurity, data protection, insider risk, information security governance, or related risk programs.
- Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services, banking, insurance, or other highly controlled industries.
- Strong understanding of data security principles, including data classification, data loss prevention, encryption, and secure data handling.
- Familiarity with information security governance frameworks, policy lifecycle management, and control environments.
- Experience supporting risk assessments, control validation, audit responses, regulatory reporting, or governance documentation.
- Working knowledge of enterprise data environments, identity and access management, and security architecture as they relate to data protection.
- Ability to work with technical teams and translate policy expectations into practical operational controls.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, reporting, and executive presentation skills.
