Electrical Engineer
Quick Summary
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support electronic subsystem developments through individual contribution and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The qualified candidate will execute assigned developments ranging from conceptual design through validation testing and commercial release. Support for released designs will also be in scope, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, customer support, and maintenance activities.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Executing electrical developments of medium complexity under the guidance of technical leaders.
- Capturing design requirements, developing electrical designs, performing verification and validation activities, and supporting commercial release.
- Contributing hands-on technical expertise in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with cross-functional and global engineering teams to deliver project objectives.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers while continuing to develop technical leadership skills.
- Documenting designs, test results, and engineering best practices.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Have approximately 5-10 years of experience in electrical product development.
- Have fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Have experience delivering engineering projects and supporting new product development activities.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Build productive relationships with stakeholders, customers, and peers.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, and other laboratory equipment for circuit debugging and validation.
- Medium-power (>100W) DC-DC power conversion and motor control.
- Data acquisition systems and ADC interfaces.
- Experience with microcontrollers such as TI C2000, MSP430, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to embedded firmware development.
- Schematic capture and component selection using Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD tools.
- Familiarity with PCBA procurement, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Hands-on soldering and rework of PCB assemblies.
- Wiring harness design and integration.
- Preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation, test procedures, and design records.
