Sr Cloud Test Automation Engineer

To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability. 

• Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.         .
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
• Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

• To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

Embark on a transformative journey as part of the Sr Cloud Test Automation Engineer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies and quality assurance frameworks that validate software functionality, performance, security, usability, scalability, and overall user experience. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and support teams, to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, tools, and automation practices to enhance efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements while proactively mitigating risks, improving product reliability, and delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives and customer expectations. 

Working closely with Engineering teams and stakeholders across multiple TC’s, you will help deliver high-performing solutions through agile delivery models. You will collaborate to understand system benchmarks, identify Design gaps, and lead cloud engineering initiatives while interfacing with technology partners to ensure optimal system behavior under varying load conditions.

Leading the ongoing drive to enhance platform performance and reliability, you will champion a data-driven and collaborative approach, ensuring that performance considerations are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Additionally, ensuring compliance with performance standards, risk controls, and service-level expectations will be a key responsibility.

• Strong hands-on experience in Python and automation development
• Strong working knowledge of BDD automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, RestAssured, typescript, Cypress, Selenium etc.
• AI Adoption using Claude, Git Lab Duo, Co-Pilot for Test Deliverable.
  Experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI, with solid Git version control skills.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API concepts and JSON/XML data formats.
  Proven experience in Databricks Testing, Snowflake Testing, AWS Cloud testing, API testing, database testing, and end-to-end test validation across complex systems.
• Experience with GitLab Duo and modern automation tooling.

• Candidates with experience in Banking domain preferred.
• Performance testing in cloud environments.
• CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Git).
• Awareness of AWS and Azure environment.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for project releases independently.
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, estimation, and execution.
• Perform defect analysis, debugging, and root cause identification.
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, execution efficiency, and framework scalability.
• Experience in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks across iterative development, system testing, and regression cycles.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA) to manage testing lifecycle and report testing metrics.
• Work closely with developers, product owners and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology, Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
