As a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) in Final Assembly located in North Charleston, South Carolina, you won’t simply oversee production — you will inspire people, build high-performing teams, and directly contribute to delivering world-class airplanes that redefine what’s possible. In this role, you will lead frontline manufacturing teams responsible for building one of the most sophisticated aircraft ever designed. You will shape culture, develop talent, and drive performance across safety, quality, and delivery.
You will:
Lead and inspire frontline manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Execute daily production plans that bring the 787 Dreamliner to life
Build partnerships with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to solve complex challenges
Develop and coach teammates to unlock their full potential and build future leaders
Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles and operational excellence tools
Foster a culture grounded in safety, quality, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship
Help position Boeing South Carolina for continued growth, innovation, and production rate increases

Requirements
~1 min readCandidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience
Ability to lead teams and execute within a structured production environment
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Ability to support variable shifts based on operational needs
3+ years of experience leading teams
3+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience
Experience leading hourly employees in a production environment
Proven track record of implementing Lean or continuous improvement initiatives
Bachelor’s degree or higher
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until a re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
