Responsibilities

·         Manages and oversee the development of the production schedule/shop load (2-3 week look ahead) for BDS Huntsville - SIWS & IAMD programs, (including re-entry of non-conforming product on NCRs, ensuring quality and workforce adherence

·         Manage production control team for the Seeker factory using KPI's

·         Monitor each line or sub-assembly area production plans and actuals to ensure optimal line balancing, WIP control, and elimination of over production

·         Work with QA and production to ensure quality parts and that all ISO standards are met in compliance with the customer

·         Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

·         Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures, while developing organizational and technical strategies

·         Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

·         Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

·         Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

·         Manages, develops and motivates employees

Requirements

·         Experience in Project Management or Production Control

·         Experience leading projects and/or teams

·         More than 7 years working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent industry

·         Familiarity with ERP Business systems and Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

·         Experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools

·         Experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives

·         Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

·         Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher

·         Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military

·         Active Secret Security Clearance

·         PMP and other Program Management certifications
