The Intelligence Systems (IS) program within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Herndon, VA. IS delivers complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. This role offers the opportunity to lead Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) efforts across diverse, mission-critical programs.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead develop and motivate a SEIT team to meet program and business objectives
- →Collaborate with capability leads and program managers to address staffing and skill needs
- →Support recruiting talent development and retention efforts
- →Provide technical oversight for system architecture design artifacts and engineering deliverables
- →Maintain strong relationships with customers stakeholders partners and internal teams
- →Contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives
- →Participate in skills management and ensure continuous workforce development
- →Support the identification and implementation of best practices and process improvements
Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- This position requires an Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance with an active Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in performing and/or leading Systems Engineering teams
- Ability to collaborate across multiple programs to support program needs
- Knowledge of systems engineering products and life cycle/process tools
- Proven track record in developing employees and working cross functionally to meet staffing challenges
- Demonstrated experience executing on multiple concurrent programs/projects or product lines with customers that span the Intelligence Community and DoD, both inside and outside closed areas
- Demonstrated skills and experience using modern task tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne, etc)
- Experience working with requirements management systems such as DOORS
- Experience working with customer technicians and activity planners
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
- Demonstrated experience supporting program milestone events as well as CDRL generation and maintenance to include test plans and report writing
- Experience with the use of the System Engineering Best Practices (SEBP) and how they apply to successful program execution
- Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA) processes and practices
- Familiarity with Cost Account Management using Boeing processes and procedures, including Earned Value Management (EVM)

Summary pay range for Manager (Level K): $151,300.00 - $204,700.00
