This is an opportunity to lead some of Canberra's most significant fitout projects and make a tangible impact on the city's evolving built environment. You'll have the backing of experienced construction leaders, the autonomy to drive outcomes, and the chance to work on projects recognised for their quality and complexity.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects from conception through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes are achieved. Reporting to the Construction Manager and General Manager, you'll provide leadership across all phases of delivery, foster strong stakeholder relationships and ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Key focus areas include:

  • Leading the delivery of complex construction and fitout projects across Canberra.
  • Managing project budgets, commercial performance, and programme outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Creating high-performing teams and fostering collaboration across disciplines.
  • Driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

You are an experienced Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex construction projects and leading teams through every stage of the project lifecycle. A confident leader and strong communicator, you build trusted relationships, drive commercial outcomes and take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and successfully.

We're looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction, Engineering or similar, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Proven experience delivering construction projects and leading project teams.
  • Strong commercial capability with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capability.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, risk management, and project delivery.
  • A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and team success.

At Built, we create an environment where people can accelerate their development, take on meaningful responsibility and work across diverse sectors and project scales. You’ll get exposure quickly, supported by leaders who back good ideas and create space for you to grow.

In return, we look for people who bring curiosity, ownership and a willingness to stretch themselves. We value collaboration, practical problem‑solving, and people who thrive in a culture where everyone contributes to better outcomes. We also offer a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, growth and life outside of work.

If you want to build differently, grow with purpose, and thrive in a team that's shaping the future, this is your chance.

Where New Ideas Are Always Welcome

We're building teams that reflect the communities we work in. At Built, we value different perspectives because fresh thinking helps us find better ways of doing things. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't tick every single box, we'd still love to hear from you. Curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter just as much as your experience.
