Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for a Measurement Specialist/Sr. Measurement Specialist in Lake Cormorant, MS\Lake Cormorant.   JOB PURPOSE:   In this role, you will be accountable for enterprise employee safety, contractor safety, process safety support, operational readiness and operational risk management across all Boardwalk Pipeline assets. This role provides leadership for risk-informed decision-making, field execution, management system effectiveness and cross-functional safety governance.   Duties include:   This positions is responsible for the calibration, gas sampling, testing, operation, and maintenance of measurement facilities in assigned areas, likely to provide support in adjacent areas, along with project support. These facilities include positive displacement, turbine, rotary, ultrasonic, and orifice meters; flow computers; samplers; communication devices; regulators; relief valves; valves and actuators; transmitters; gas quality monitoring systems; and automated tank gauging equipment. The role is responsible for over-protection systems, maintaining and inspecting valves, flow control valves, pressure control valves, valve actuators, remote capabilities to various types of equipment and maintaining gas conditioning equipment and various analyzers. The position is also responsible for environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission, including recognizing and reporting abnormal and safety-related operating conditions, accident and near-miss reporting, emergency response, regulatory compliance activities, and equipment repair. This role requires participation in emergency and abnormal condition callouts for assigned areas.   The Successful candidate will be required to live within 30 driving miles from the Lake Cormorant Compressor Location   REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   2 to 5 years of pipeline and measurement operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience Strong safety culture Strong computer and data process skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Valve O&M experience Organization and record keeping ability Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet, the ability to work in extreme weather conditions, and the ability to stand for long durations Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record   PREFERRRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Knowledgeable of DOT 192 Regulations 5 (plus) years of gas measurement or I&E operations and maintenance experience Natural gas measurement experience Chromatograph O&M proficiency Control valve and OPP O&M experience Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in Electrical or Electronics Technology from an Institution Accredited by one of the National Regional Accrediting Bodies   REQUIRED EDUCATION:   High School Diploma or Equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION:   Associate Degree ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP, maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hiring.   Boardwalk Pipelines, LP, is an equal opportunity employer.
