Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Communication Junior level (Talent Pool) Experience: 1-3 years Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Multiple Roles within the Talent Pool Include but not limited to: Junior communication officer Communication specialist Corporate Communications Specialist Public Relations Coordinator Public Affairs Officer Public Information Officer PR Account Coordinator Public Information Specialist Media Relations Coordinator Responsibilities Create written content, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, and internal communications. Assist in drafting speeches, articles, and other materials for senior communication staff. Assist in developing social media strategies and campaigns. Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets. Assist in writing and distributing press releases and media advisories. Monitor media coverage and compile media reports. Assist in planning and coordinating press conferences, webinars, and other communication events. Assist in developing and distributing internal communications, such as newsletters and company announcements. Help maintain internal communication platforms and intranet. Support public relations campaigns, including media pitching, influencer outreach, and community engagement. Assist in tracking and reporting PR efforts. Collaborate with marketing teams to create digital marketing content, such as email campaigns and online advertisements. Analyze digital marketing data and provide insights for improvement. Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and communication best practices. Assist in analyzing data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts. Provide support during crisis communication situations, including drafting crisis communication materials and monitoring social media conversations. Collaborate with designers and multimedia specialists to create visual content, such as graphics, infographics, and videos. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and employees. Help ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communication channels. Assist in updating brand guidelines and messaging documents. Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining media databases, managing calendars, and handling correspondence. Participate in training programs to develop communication skills and stay updated on industry trends. Adhere to ethical communication practices, including transparency, accuracy, and respect for privacy and confidentiality. Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools. Basic understanding of PR and media relations concepts. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content creation tools.
