Receive and investigate requests for maintenance in apartment units, common areas or to the exterior of buildings. Make needed repairs, refer to supervisor, or contract with outside vendor.

Requirements Summary

One year maintenance or related field experience. Working knowledge or ability to learn, plumbing, electrical and lock systems. Working knowledge or ability to learn repair of plaster, wall repairs, and painting.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working with a diverse, low income, and/or farmworker populations in a residential environment. 
  • Spanish speaking and/or writing skills. 
  • Experience in customer relations. 

 

Requirements

May be substituted for one year of maintenance experience:  

  • Certificate of completion from a technical college in general building maintenance. 
  • Certificate of completion from a technical college in plumbing and electrical systems.
