Every release on our health platform has to work the first time, because members and clients depend on it. As our Software Development Engineer in Test, you’ll write the automated and manual tests that catch defects before they reach production.
You’ll work from business requirements to build test plans, cases, and data, and you’ll trace failures back to their root cause. Your work sets the quality bar for a growing engineering team.
** Build automated and manual tests: Develop new test suites that feed continuous delivery, testing, and deployment.
** Write behavior-driven test suites: Work with business and user areas to document detailed test suites in our behavior driven development model.
** Master the Health system: Maintain a current understanding of its design, architecture, business logic, and inter-dependencies.
** Validate results against requirements: Analyze test execution results to confirm work products comply with approved design and documented requirements, and report every defect through the defined defect reporting process.
** Find root causes: Perform root cause analysis, identify test gaps, quality risks, and process failures, and escalate critical issues with proposed solutions and mitigation options.
** Join the review cycle: Participate in requirements, design, test case, test strategy, and release readiness reviews, and in technical reviews and walkthroughs.
** Estimate and report: Give project management testing effort estimates, and gather testing metrics, including performance testing and monitoring, to drive process improvements.
** Protect data integrity: Verify data integrity throughout the testing process.
