Senior Project Manager

Power your future with Qualus as a Senior Project Manager in our Program Management organization.  We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide planning, management, and overall execution of a portfolio of power delivery projects. This includes managing all activities related to project scope, schedule, cost/budget, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk elements to optimize client service, quality and financial performance on large, complex and challenging projects.

• →Leads the planning and implementation of medium-large power delivery projects ranging in complexity.
• →Supports business development by participating in project scoping, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, negotiations, and contract development.
• →Reviews assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develops schedules, budgets, staffing, vendor lists and progress billing points.
• →Meets with client management as necessary during the term of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project’s completion.
• →Maintains a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
• →Plans, organizes, communicates and coordinates project engagements.
• →Manages the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Clients and Project Teams.
• →Achieve project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• →Analyzes project performance and resource utilization.
• →Identifies potential out of scope work.
• →Manages, and negotiates contract change orders.
• →Identifies and manages project risk from the proposal phase through the duration of the project.
• →Trains, mentors, and oversees other Project Managers and conducts/participates in portfolio and project reviews.

• Bachelors of Science in engineering from an accredited college or university (preferred but not required)
• PE (preferred but not required).
• PMP (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management.
• Experience with major engineering/ procurement/ construction activities. Transmission and Offshore Wind.
• Firm understanding of financial management.
• Demonstrated capabilities and success in managing large multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple projects.
• Thorough understanding of various types of power delivery projects (transmission, substation, distribution).
• Strong skills in relationship development and management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities.

• Experience with utility capital investment business models is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated financial management experience, including:
• Cash flow forecasting and management for capital projects, including both internal labor and contractor-supported work.
• Purchase Order (PO) financial tracking and oversight.
• Financial risk assessment and mitigation to support achievement of investment objectives.
• Capital portfolio financial planning, monitoring, and performance management.
• Identification, evaluation, and communication of financial risks and opportunities.
• Strong data management, analysis, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, particularly between Project Management and Financial Management organizations.
• Experience preparing and delivering executive and leadership-level reporting, including financial performance, portfolio status, risks, and investment outcomes.
