Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking Maintenance Technicians at our plant in Puyallup, WA. The Maintenance Technician will Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

We have openings 2nd Shift Sunday through Thursday 3:30pm-12am

$3000 sign-on bonus provided in installments: $1000 after 90 days; $1000 after 180 days; $1000 after 270 days

• →Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
• →Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
• →Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair
• →Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
• →Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications
• →Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• →Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• →Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
• →Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• →Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• →Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.
• →Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment
• →Other duties as assigned

This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.

• Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
• EH certified safety shoes (steel toe or composite) over the ankle.
• Flame Resistant rated Maintenance uniform
• Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.

Per the state’s Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $36.77-$38.50.  Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
