Sr. Design Engineer

Sr. Design Engineer professional assembles documentation packages, performs some calculations with regard to technical design, and develops detailed drawings using relevant tools.

As a Sr. Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• →Own mechanical designs, assemblies, and equipment layouts.
• →Lead design activities from concept through production implementation.
• →Develop and review 3D models and drawings using Creo Parametric.
• →Ensure accuracy of drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
• →Manage product revisions and engineering changes in Windchill.
• →Maintain accurate part and BOM data within SAP.
• →Make technical decisions based on performance, risk, and manufacturability.
• →Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM principles.
• →Lead design reviews and resolve technical issues.
• →Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• →Coordinate deliverables with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and testing.
• →Manage priorities, risks, commitments, and delivery dates.
• →Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentoring.
• →Identify and implement design and process improvements.
• →Translate product and business needs into HVAC design solutions.
• →Lead design changes from definition through production release.
• →Ensure design quality, manufacturability, cost, and schedule performance.
• →Serve as a technical reference for the engineering team.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering.
• Five or more years of mechanical product design experience.
• Experience leading design activities or engineering changes.
• Experience with commercial HVAC or similar engineered equipment.
• Strong knowledge of parametric CAD systems, preferably Creo Parametric.
• Experience creating assemblies and production drawings.
• Experience with PLM systems, preferably Windchill.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, sheet metal, and manufacturing.
• Strong technical judgment and independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
