As a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Rotating & Packages at CC7 Europe, you will take a leading role in the design and execution of complex mechanical packages across all project phases—from feasibility and FEED to EPC and commissioning.
Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, you will provide deep technical expertise on static and rotating equipment, guiding projects from concept to commissioning. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
This senior-level position offers the opportunity to influence major energy and infrastructure projects, and continuously improve internal engineering practices.
Leading the design, specification, and technical evaluation of mechanical packages such as pumps, compressors, blowers, HVAC units, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and special equipment packages.
Providing technical leadership across feasibility, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Performing engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Overseeing the complete lifecycle of mechanical packages, including vendor selection, FAT/SAT, delivery, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
Coordinating 3D model reviews with piping and layout teams, and participating in design reviews, hazard studies, and constructability assessments.
Reviewing and approving design documentation, including datasheets, specifications, drawings, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents.
Managing vendor engineering coordination, responding to Technical Queries (TQs), and resolving deviations.
Conducting technical assessments and cost-benefit analyses to support project proposals and decision making.
Preparing material take-offs (MTO), technical bid evaluations, and ensuring vendor deliverables meet all specifications, codes, and project requirements.
Contributing to project planning, man-hour estimation, and execution strategy development.
Collaborating across disciplines to ensure integration of mechanical systems.
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Staying abreast of industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance engineering processes and deliverables.
We are looking for a senior engineer with exceptional technical depth, proven leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset. You will bring structured thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while maintaining focus on quality, schedule, and cost.
Requirements
~1 min readA University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy industry, with a strong focus on Mechanical Static Equipment engineering within an EPC environment.
Demonstrated success in design, procurement, and commissioning of mechanical packaged equipment for FEED and/or EPC projects, including greenfield, brownfield modifications, and revamp projects.
Legal eligibility to work and reside in the EU and the Netherlands is preferred.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong English writing skills for documentation and reports, proficient in English speaking for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency with American (API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ISA, NFPA), British, and European (EC, EN, EU) codes and standards; knowledge of Chinese and Russian design codes is an advantage.
Strong command of MS Office and mechanical design/analysis tools (e.g., PV Elite, Ansys).
Effective interpersonal and leadership skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams, EPC contractors, and vendors.
Demonstrated professionalism and a solid foundation of technical expertise.
