What You’ll Bring 

• Experience as a line cook
• Self-starter, able to see tasks that need to be completed and takes the initiative to complete them
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
• An interest and willingness to learn more, listen, and take constructive feedback
• Enthusiasm for working with a diverse team
• Conversational Spanish helpful but not required

• Evenings, weekends, and Sunday availability is a must!

Your Impact

As a Hippo Pockets line cook you will aid in the cooking and preparation of the delicious food that creates a fun and memorable experience for our guests. Although Hippo Pockets works to create a welcoming ambiance for guests, it is the food that keeps them coming back for more. As a Hippo Pocket's line cook you will aid in service through:

• cooking food to order, following the company's spec sheets
• reading food tickets thoughtfully and paying close attention to modifications and any listed allergens
• delivering food in goal ticket times 
  
• communicating effectively with other employees to complete orders
• prepping ingredients 
• following safety and sanitation guidelines
• assisting with daily temperature and line checks
• consistently and effectively completing opening and closing tasks in a timely manner
• assisting with stocking, organizing and cleaning food lines
