Cook (Experience Preferred)

• →Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
• →Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process.
• →Handle food items with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
• →Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• →Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
• →Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe cooking environment.

• Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant, dietary department, or catering setting is preferred. (2-5 years)
• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
• Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and cooking equipment.
• Skilled in basic cuts, i.e., julienne, batonnet, chiffonade, brunoise, etc.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that meet dietary needs.
