Professional freight flow and balanced scheduling give Savannah-area CDL-A truck drivers a regional position built around steady miles, longer average hauls, and dependable home time. Drivers operate multi-state dry van routes with mostly drop-and-hook freight while following a structured 12-day schedule followed by a full 48-hour reset every other weekend.

Average hauls run 700–750 miles, providing longer regional trips that help drivers build productive weekly mileage without relying entirely on short runs. Freight moves across established Southeast lanes with load assignments coordinated to keep drivers moving between customer locations.

Most loads are drop-and-hook and no-touch. Some customer facilities require live unloading, but drivers are not responsible for handling or unloading the freight.

Drivers operate for 12 days before returning home for a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. The repeating schedule provides a defined routine throughout the month while allowing enough road time to maintain consistent regional mileage.

Drivers with safe truck parking may take their assigned tractor home during the reset. Approved parking locations are also available when another parking option is needed.

Average weekly earnings range from $1,350–$1,500 based on miles and experience. Detention compensation is available for qualifying delays.

After 6 months, eligible drivers have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan.

Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks are equipped with APUs, inverters, refrigerator space, and TV and microwave mounts for added convenience while away from home.

Equipment receives regularly scheduled preventive maintenance to help maintain reliability and reduce avoidable downtime during regional trips.

Rider and pet programs are available after approval. Drivers also have access to dispatch assistance for routing and freight coordination throughout each trip. Maintenance support is available when equipment-related needs arise while on the road.

Valid Class A CDL

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer driving experience

Acceptable driving and safety record

Ability to meet DOT qualification and company safety requirements
