Responsibilities

→Principal in Charge for all engineering design aspects of our El Paso office (marketing and operations)
→Be a practice builder – growing services, clients, and geography
→Serve as the lead with key client and contract management
→Recruit, develop and retain El Paso staff
→Manage transportation projects to meet financial and technical requirements
→Writing proposals
→Participating and/or leading interviews
→Performing contract negotiations
→Project work planning
→Supervising the execution of work
→Prepare and deliver technical presentations
→Participate in marketing and business development

Requirements

B.S. in Civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
Licensed Texas P.E.
15+ years of progressive transportation/roadway, municipal, and/or water/wastewater experience
5+ years of experience in management of engineering and support staff
Must be proficient with OpenRoads Designer
The ability to manage AND assist in the production of design deliverables
Experience working with TxDOT and the El Paso area
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
